North Main Yoga is fortunate to have classes on meditation and understanding the mind with Don Salmon and Jan Maslow, as well as a weekly lunch time meditation class with Craig. No experience necessary and beginners are welcome. These classes are accessible to everyone. No pre-registration is needed for any of the classes.
  • The first Sunday of each month, Don Salmon and Jan Maslow will be here teaching "Meditation in Action- Practices to Help Shift Your Inner State". This is a new kind of meditation class designed especially for those of you who have trouble doing seated, close-eyed meditation, but it should be helpful as well as fun for all. It will be a very active class, with live music, and it will include everything from laughter yoga, Qi-gong and chanting, to aerobic movement, vocal and body percussion, and brief moments of mindfulness and loving-kindness meditation.

The class is designed to help you become more agile in shifting from unpleasant, unproductive states to more positive and constructive ones during the course of your day. Throughout the different activities of the class, you'll be learning to become more aware of the state you're in, and to contact an inner place of calm awareness that makes shifting state so much easier to do.
    Time: 3:30pm-4:30pm

  • Every Wednesday, join Craig for a lunch time meditation. Come as you are (no special clothing required) and restore the mind for the remainder of the week. Class will help you steady the mind and body for meditation, and will include a brief meditation, and discussion.
