• When picking what class is right for you, first find a time that works with your schedule. Next, read the class descriptions and find the ones that suit your intention for coming to yoga. If that does not help, simply try all of the teachers at that time slot and find the class you love.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. You will be in bare feet during class and we have a place for your shoes when you come in.

  • Arrive 10 minutes before your first class to register with the front desk staff and tell them of any injuries or pre-existing conditions you may have.

  • Bring a towel, water bottle, a yoga mat and money for class (we accept cash and checks only). If you do not have a mat, we have them to purchase or borrow. We highly recommend purchasing your own for hygienic reasons.

  • When in class, rest when needed. Your teacher will show you a resting pose that is used in all yoga classes.

  • Do not expect perfection, simply enjoy your first class.

  • Feel free to ask questions at the end of class, or silently wave your teacher over during class if you feel any pain, discomfort, or confusion.

  • At the end of class, we close with the word "Namaste". Namaste, simply translates as "I see". It can also mean "the divine in me sees and recognizes the divine in you". It is a traditional greeting used in India even today.

  • We offer a Restorative Yoga class for anyone with back injuries or physical limitations. This class is offered Monday and Wednesdays at 10:45am. This class is perfect for students needing a very gentle, healing yoga class that uses support in all of the yoga poses.

Email us at nmyoga@bellsouth.net with any further questions you may have. Namaste.
