Refining Your Communication with Max Strom
November 14, 2010 @ Augusta Road
People often assume that their favorite teachers are able to speak clearly, concisely, and lovingly because they were born that way. But this is rarely true. Teachers who excel with communication often simply work harder at it and never stop studying and improving their art of teaching. This seminar offers several techniques for refining and empowering your ability to communicate what you want to say in the tone you want to say it with. The practical principles you will learn in this workshop will take you to new levels in your teaching and inspire you for weeks to come. Bring your mat and writing materials. (Please no recording equipment.)
To register: Please send a check to our mailing address-- 10 W. Stone Ave; Greenville, SC 29609. Include your name, email and the class for which you would like to register.

Greenville Yoga's Teacher Training and In-Depth Study
Spring 2011
This program will be led by Liz and Brian and will include a few guest teachers. Classes will be held one weekend per month. There will be homework, reading and elective assignments to complete on your own as well.
Our Program: North Main Yoga’s Teacher Training program will provide a dedicated student the foundation in which to deepen their personal practice and / or confidently teach a safe, vinyasa flow class. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be issued a certificate of completion and an application for registry with Yoga Alliance. This is not awarded solely based on hours or subjects completed; it is also determined by the teachers’ assessment of the student's grasp of concepts, ethical behavior, and materials presented.
The emphasis of our teachings are centered around the transformation through breath and vinyasa flow as taught to us by Max Strom. Training will include pranayama, asana, history, philosophy, ethics and teaching methodologies. Our hope is that each teacher leaves with a deeper understanding of yoga as a spiritual tradition and a way to transform the body, mind and spirit.
To Apply: We will begin taking applications November 1st. In order to apply, you must have attended at least two classes with Brian and two classes with Liz. In this way, we will ensure that you enjoy this style of yoga and will want to learn from us throughout this training. Once you have done this, you may fill out your application and return it to Liz and Brian. We will then meet with you for a brief interview to get to know you better. Payment plan is available with $500 deposit and $150 per month.
Cost: $2000
