It is our hope that more people can learn about yoga and how to teach in a safe and effective manner. We offer a 200-hour Yoga Alliance training, as well as several workshops that meet Yoga Alliance requirements for continuing education.
Our approach to teacher training is different than most places. Maybe this is due to our dedicated study with one teacher, Max Strom, since 1999. We feel teacher trainings are highly personal in nature and you must study with the teachers and styles that inspire you. Due to this, we will no longer accept students into our 200-hour teacher training who are not current / regular practitioners at our school. Our trainings are focused on breath-inspired vinyasa flow and personal ethics. This is what has changed our lives and this is what we know. Our teacher training is a year long study of yoga which includes ethics, self-study, anatomy, how to communicate clearly, and how to differentiate classes to meet students' needs.
Due to the nature of our training and to ensure you have time to begin your studies with us, we are putting our teacher training on hiatus until September 2013. We are offering an in-depth study of yoga in September of 2012 which would be a great starting point if you are considering training with us. If you are currently a yoga teacher, look for our new series of continuing education called "Become a Better Teacher" or join us for our monthly "Alignment Clinics" to help you refine your understanding of alignment. It is also a perfect course for teachers who wish to set themselves apart as teachers of ethics as well as asana. This will include new material and new books. It may be just what you need to stay inspired on your path.
